Sharp and pungent — the character mustard oil is known for.
Becomes Black Mustard Oil
Cold-pressed black mustard and groundnut oils, made with close attention to the seed, the press and the filter. From Hyderabad, for everyday Indian cooking.
Every tadka, every fry, every Sunday paratha begins with a spoonful of oil. We think that spoonful deserves more attention than it usually gets.

How Shiny Drop Is Made
Six stages. Most are shared by both oils — one belongs to black mustard alone.
Black mustard seeds for one oil, groundnuts for the other — each kept to its own process from here on.
The traditional method, in which raw seeds are crushed in a ghani to release their oil. Used for our black mustard oil only.
Both oils are pressed without adding heat to the process.
Both are filtered twice, removing the fine solids left behind after pressing.
Sealed as two distinct oils, each true to its own process.
Where the rest of the story happens.
Why Shiny Drop
Three process terms, one city, and no claims we can’t stand behind.
